While testing the macro i accidentally stepped on uneven ground and hit the lens towards the wall. My camera is two yrs old and has never been dropped. I have had this error a few times in the past and have fixed it with switching batteries. It thought it was damaged beyond repair.

No information on Canon website, no canon service. The camera is working perfectly again. I just hope I didn't damage the lens in all the fiddling I was doing with it prior.

I gently slipped a paper edge between the shutter pieces and bingo, their was a small click and the shutter opened fully!
