How feasible is it to reconnect the ribbon cable connectors on it? After reading this website i tried the twist method and found it worked!!!! Help! oh yea, I also can't turn it off before it powers off. After trying the other suggestions on my Canon Powershot A570 IS I tried #7 by grabbing the lens during power on and not allowing it to retract. Je moet dit vandaag nog doen.
And yes, the cost of fixing usually exceeds the value of the camera. Again, this didn't work for me, I suspect the grit has ended up in the cogwheels below the barrels. Because it has attracted low-quality or spam answers that had to be removed, posting an answer now requires 10 reputation on this site (the association bonus does not count). I have tried tapping it, shaking it a bit.
