The Lens error message occurred, although the next power on the lens extended further and all is now working.Thanks heaps. This is the connector that could be causing the lens error: the little play the lens assembly has can induce a slight traction and lead to a disalignment of the little Canon Powershot Sd750 Lens Error i've tried all the suggestions but none of them are working :(it says lens error, restart camera. Yipeee! I grasped and twisted the larger lens barrel while powering off and pushed in a bit and it retracted and I am back in business.

Again, these fixes should only be considered for a camera that's out of warranty, who's cost of repair would be excessive, and would otherwise be considered for disposal if unfixed.CR May only 1yr. Then while it was still out I again blew compressed air all around and then the next time I powered it on it finished retracting then extended out perfectly.... THANKS FOR THE SITE ANYWAY!

Ok. If this doesn't work turn it on alternating between video, auto, and camera modes (while tapping). First make sure the camera is working properly with the exception of the LCD. Took awhile, thought it was a goner.
Replaced the batteries and it retracted the lens.
