Again, this didn't work for me, I suspect the grit has ended up in the cogwheels below the barrels. it now angles downwards and wouldnt retract, plus the camera freezes with the samsung logo when turned on. Now take out your battery, and replace it. Do you? I did everything up to the tapping step, which worked, however, when the lens finally opened I had no picture, it was just white. The logo is showing up dark as much of the battery power is likely going to the lens motor trying to overcome the sand.

It has made my camera inoperable. I did two thing. 1) Remove the battery and replace with new batteries 2) Hold the Shutter button while I pressed the power button.
