Preparation I'd recommend the following: An afternoon & evening to yourself A large, empty desk (preferably with a lip, to catch dropped screws) A lino floor (carpets can lose dropped screws) Canon PowerShot SD500 / IXUS 700 Digital Camera E18 error camera switches off - Canon PowerShot A70 Digital Camera Lens errors are fairly common. Thanks! Nobody has posted disassembly instructions for any camera near my model, so I had to work it out for myself. Let me know if that works, I'd love to collect more information about further fixes for this issue! Any ideas where it came from? Canon Powershot Sd550 Digital Elph Bezig... The best i would get was that the lens would retract but not completly then extend back out and stay out, displaying the e18.
