When you looked at it the lens "hole" was sideways and it would not retract completely inside the camera. Bezig... tried pushing lightly on lens. and ran some more compressed air though. news

I cannot thank you enough for your help. Other variations include hitting a side of the camera against the palm of your hand. My 1.5 year old son got a hold of it and twisted the lens some how while it was extended. unplugged cable, now lens opens and closed normally.

Some people also have actually used a "Shop Vac" with this fix to help extend a retracted lens. p.s. Seems like the best option considering how much the camera cost me and it not being too expensive to fix. im afraid warranty wont cover this one.
I tried the blow-dryer again today and that didn't work, so I tried banging my camera on the carpet, and OMG, it worked. I've tried everything so far and it is behaving better but I don't expect it to continue. I dropped my camera today in Nantes and of crouse the lens has a dent in it and it wouldn't retract. Je moet dit vandaag nog doen.

it turns on at picture model with the logo and then died. The camera will instruct me to turn off the power and then on again but the same problem happens. Turn off and restart the camera again. you'll come short.
With Samsung's release of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, I'm really curious to see if this will also be a issue/problem with this camera phone (and other phones with optical zoom).
