Various color issues can be caused by lighting and other factors where the pictures are being taken. tried different settings , no change. some sand came out, and the camera started working. Wish that I could give you some easy tips for fixing the error by opening the camera, but I'm afraid there is none.

This is probably not a lens error, because other things are wrong other than the lens. I tried removing the battery, that did not work. While doing these, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins have reseated in their guide slots.
